Cooking, Crafting & Coffee: A Balinese Experience

Includes round-trip transport from your accommodation

Step into Balinese life for a day of flavor, color, and tradition. This immersive journey begins not in a tourist kitchen, but at the very heart of Balinese daily life—where food, ritual, and spirit are one. Together, we’ll cook, craft, and share stories that connect you to the soul of Bali.

Canang-Sari-Class

Canang Sari, Cuisine, and Coffee

Part 1: Cook Like a Balinese Chef
Step into a Balinese kitchen and cook tradition into every dish

Guided by our local chef, you’ll step into the kitchen and uncover the secrets of Balinese cooking passed down through generations.

  • Learn how to blend authentic spice pastes that are the backbone of every Balinese dish.
  • Discover how food shapes ceremonies, family gatherings, and festivals.
  • Cook a full meal side by side with your teacher—then enjoy your creation as a feast.

This is more than a class; it’s a chance to taste the culture of Bali with your own hands.

After food, comes devotion. With a cultural guide, you’ll sit down to create your own Canang Sari—the small, hand-woven offering placed in temples, doorways, and shrines across the island. You’ll also try your hand at building a Gebogan, a towering fruit arrangement used for temple ceremonies.

  • Weave, fold, and shape leaves, flowers, and fruit into beautiful forms.
  • Discover the meaning behind each element, and how offerings carry gratitude and balance into daily life.
  • Listen to stories from local artisans about why these traditions are still alive today.

By the end, you won’t just know about Balinese traditions—you’ll have lived them.

On the way back, the journey continues with a stop at a local coffee plantation. Here, you’ll walk among rows of coffee trees, cacao, and spices while learning how these crops have shaped Balinese culture and community life.

  • See how traditional methods are still used to grow and roast coffee.
  • Sample a variety of local brews—from smooth arabica to rich robusta.
  • Savor a cup surrounded by lush greenery before heading back to your accommodation.

It’s the perfect way to close the day: slowing down with a cup of Bali in hand, carrying the flavors and stories with you.

  • Hands-on cooking class & Balinese meal
  • Guided Canang Sari & Gebogan workshop
  • Cultural storytelling woven through every step

This isn’t a performance for visitors. It’s an invitation—to step inside the rhythm of Bali, if only for a day.
